“Preparing the paper surface using collage, mark making, and monotype printing, I tear randomly, then proceed from whatever the shape suggests. I like this way of allowing subliminal images to emerge suggesting an emotional and narrative familiarity. What I Did on my Summer Vacation aims to grasp the moment of a memory—like grabbing a fly out of the air—it allows that moment to be experienced fully.”
