Emigration Canyon Series

Alvey’s Emigration Canyon Series is an experiment in attempting to capture transitions in nature. She finds inspiration through daily restorative walks near her canyon home. “The experience of treatment and recovery has given me a re-awakened ability to see and to observe the moment,” says Alvey. “By distilling my process to paint, palette, installation, and direct experience, I am finding the work offers a sense of the flow and dynamics of the interconnected natural world.”
